Health and Safety
Quality
Food safety and quality are just as obvious to us as the delicious taste of our products. To guarantee this, we can draw from over fifty years of experience and knowledge. In cooperation with Wageningen University & Research Centre (WUR), a dedicated team of developers from various disciplines is continuously working on innovations in preparation methods and processes. Naturally, we are always keeping track of new developments, due to which our products continuously comply with the highest possible quality standards and the required nutritional values.

Healthy and safe:
The products of Struik comply with all national and international legislation and standards for food safety. Every production branch of Struik Foods has been certified by British Retail Consortium (BRC) and International Food Standard (IFS). These are two internationally recognized standards for food safety and quality. Only companies that have been certified in accordance with these standards are admitted as suppliers of the main retailers.
The staff at Struik Foods Europe's Food Safety Centre guard the consistently high food safety of our products, day and night. That is how, in 2008, we again obtained the highest-level certification according to the BRC standard: A-Grade, as well as the highest-level certificate according to the IFS standard: Higher Level.

Food safety, of course, is an integrated part of the daily production; 100% tracking and tracing and quality assurance via a detailed HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) system guarantee optimal safety of the products to the consumer.
Quality control is an integral part of our production lines. Checkweighers, for example, are placed in all lines, equipment guaranteeing that the end product will contain the correct quantities. Modern equipment in the production lines ensures that the raw materials or end products will not contain any alien ingredients.
Suppliers are screened by means of frequent audits, checking the connection to our HACCP system, the application of the allergens policy, the origin and the quality and safety of the raw materials used. Our production companies are equipped with modern machinery that, of course, complies with the strictest requirements of hygiene and quality.

TPM
Struik Foods works in accordance with the Total Productivity Maintenance method (TPM), which guarantees the highest performance of our production apparatus and the quality consistence of our products. This method was developed in Japan. One of the companies applying it is Toyota. This is the main reason that Toyota has built the reputation of making the most reliable cars in the world.

In 2002, we were awarded the TPM Award in Tokyo for obtaining TPM certification.
